If he violates the terms of his probation, Black could spend six to 18 months in prison.
Black pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault in January, according to court records. Two counts of felonious assault were dismissed.
The case stemmed from a stabbing on June 19 at the Huffman Place Senior Living Home, 100 Huffman Ave.
Dayton police arrived and found a man with a “serious edged-weapon wound to his upper left arm,” Dayton Municipal Court records stated.
The man was bleeding heavily and a torniquet was used. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Two 911 callers identified Black as the suspect, according to municipal court documents. Video surveillance reportedly showed Black with a large kitchen knife prior to and immediately after the man was injured.
Black admitted to police he cut/stabbed the man during an altercation, an affidavit stated.
